This is only the Beginning!

So I have decided to start a blog about my life and my time at college! I am a student at Brigham Young University- Idaho and am a Sophomore! It is still crazy to think that so much time has passed since I was a kid and now I am starting my own life. Making my own decisions and progressing towards eternity is what life is now about. Life's opportunities are only just beginning for me and I am ready and willing to seize as much as I can. I am a self declared Social Work major, it will be official once i apply for the program, I love to help others and make people happy. I grew up watching my Dad work as a Social Worker and until a few months ago I never thought that Social Work would be what i love. I have tried education classes and I didn't feel right. After much prayer and reflection I have decided to pursue social work. I love children and want to help families become whole and come to have happiness in their life. A big part of my drive to help people is my faith. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I love Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and strive to follow them. I feel compassion for others daily and I know that my Father in Heaven has blessed me with that trait and I try to use it for good. Being here at BYUI helps me channel my spirit and focus on the eternal perspective. I know Jesus Christ lives and is present on my campus. His spirit is here and is helping all of us seek learning by faith to obtain true knowledge. I just love the gospel so much and it really is my life. It helps me see how many possibilities that are all around us and brings a smile to my face. So maybe this was a little scattered but what I really want to say is that I am so excited to see what my future has for me. And even though it has taken me a long time to get to the place I am I know it is really only the beginning! My plans might not all come true but I know God has an even better plan for me and I'll admit, that plan can scare me but I know I have a wonderful life waiting for me ahead!
